The 9th meeting of the Coordination Committee between SOCAR and Germany’s Uniper company took place.
SOCAR Vice President Elshad Nasirov, Chief Commercial Officer of Uniper SE Karsten Poppinga, and Germany’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ralf Horlemann delivered the opening speeches. SOCAR Vice President Ziba Mustafayeva then presented the keynote address.
The speakers emphasized the long-term, mutually beneficial cooperation between SOCAR and Uniper and highlighted the significance of their joint projects for Europe’s energy security. They also drew attention to the work carried out to expand cooperation across various areas.
Later, the parties delivered presentations on SOCAR–Uniper cooperation, the current status of the Southern Gas Corridor, European energy policy and emerging trends, energy transition, sustainability and decarbonization, corporate communications and public relations, and human resources policy. They exchanged views on these topics and underlined the importance of strengthening cooperation in communications and corporate social responsibility.
At the end of the meeting, SOCAR and Germany’s Uniper signed a Cooperation Program for 2025–2026.
