Summer Camp Programme in Germany
The business partnership between SOCAR and Uniper was established on September 19, 2013 based on gas sale and cooperation agreement. The agreement pertains to "Technical Cooperation", "Energy Business Cooperation", as well as "Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility" focused partnership for the period of 2014-2044.
As part of "Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility" partnership summer camps for 12-13-year-old schoolchildren of SOCAR and Uniper employees have been held in different regions of Germany and Azerbaijan respectively since 2014 (2020 and 2021 are excluded due to the global pandemic).
The purpose of the school exchange program is to create opportunities for the young generation for cultural exchange between Germany and Azerbaijan and develop as future employees with intercultural knowledge in both countries from an early age. In this direction, various activities, such as sports and leisure programs, German and English language classes, intercultural communication, seminars, master classes, visits to historical sights of Germany and Azerbaijan, creative games and group exercises are held in the two-week program every year.
Today, 10 students among those who have participated in the Summer Camp Program in Germany are already studying at various German universities.
