What advantages do I gain by successfully passing the pre-qualification assessment?
Supplier successfully passes the pre-qualification assessment is included in SOCAR’s Approved Vendors List. Approved vendors gain the right to participate in the relevant procurement competition conducted through the "E-tender" portal based on individual invitations sent by SOCAR.
What is required from a supplier to participate in a pre-qualification process?
To be involved in the pre-qualification process, the supplier must create an account on the E-Tender portal and register the types of activities and other necessary information or send the company's name, TAX ID and a brief information about field of activity to the e-mail address prequalification@socar.az.
What should the supplier do if the category corresponding to the supplier's field of activity is not available in SOCAR's list of categories?
The supplier can submit their suggestion for adding a new category or subcategory relevant to their field by sending an email to prequalification@socar.az.
During what period of time will a supplier registered on the e-tender portal be involved in the pre-qualification process?
All suppliers who have registered on the E-tender portal and indicated their business activities in their accounts will be included in the pre-qualification process within no later than 5 (five) working days.
What questions should the supplier address during the pre-qualification?

How long does the pre-qualification process take?
If all required documents and information for the pre-qualification assessment are fully submitted, the process is carried out within 40 (forty) working days.
In which cases is the result of the pre-qualification considered suitable for the inclusion of a supplier in the Approved Vendor List (AVL)?
Suppliers who have scored at least 50 (fifty) points out of a maximum of 100 (one hundred) points and meet the minimum acceptance criteria are included in the AVL.
How are the results of the pre-qualification evaluation communicated?
Upon confirmation of the pre-qualification evaluation results, a notification letter will be sent to the email address provided during the supplier's registration on the portal.
Will suppliers who successfully passed the pre-qualification be involved in re-evaluation?
Suppliers listed in the TTS will be involved to the re-qualification process on a periodic basis.
What should I do if I fail the pre-qualification results?
Suppliers whose pre-qualification results are unsuccessful are provided with a relevant report through the Q&A (question-and-answer) section. The report reflects the supplier’s overall score as well as the scores obtained for each section. In addition, recommendations are given on the areas that require improvement and attention. At the same time, suppliers are re-invited to participate in the pre-qualification process within a specified period.
Do companies that pass the pre-qualification stage have more advantages of winning a procurement competition?
Pre-qualification is an initial evaluation stage that all potential suppliers must pass through prior to being invited to participate in SOCAR’s procurement competitions. All suppliers included in the Approved Vendor List are treated equally without any additional advantages or privileges.
