Since the year of 2006, SOCAR has been financing from its own funds studies of young and talented youth at leading universities of foreign countries.
SOCAR has been closely cooperating with various universities of the world to arrange for students to study abroad within the Scholarship Program. Currently, number of graduates and students of SOCAR’s Study Abroad Scholarship Program is 122. Of them, 53 students in the UK, 22 students in Germany, 15 students in France, 12 students in US, six students in Turkey, three students in Norway, by two students in Holland and Canada, by one student in Austria, Sweden, Russia and Malta are studying or have completed their studies. aa. This Project has been of great importance in terms of updating the education system and creation of a strong potential of specialists Serving the enlightenment of young generation, SOCAR pays also much attention to social problems the students face, and ensures their employment after they have completed their education. In order to ensure that students receive high quality higher education and are trained to become skilful specialists, SOCAR shows individual approach to each student and provides them material and moral support, either during the term of education or thereafter. One more peculiarity of the program is that students being studying abroad organize 'The Day of Azerbaijan' at universities they study and deliver to foreign nationals the national values customs history literature and rich music world of Azerbaijan.
