In the second quarter of 2025, SOCAR conducted 18,000 meters1 of drilling operations. From fields operated independently or as a major shareholder, the Company produced 1.8 million tons2 of oil and 2 billion cubic meters3 of gas. SOCAR’s natural gas output rose by 8.5% compared to the same period last year. Nationwide gas production increased by approximately 1.4% year-on-year, reaching 12.7 billion cubic meters4, while crude oil production in Azerbaijan totaled 6.8 million tons5 for the quarter.
SOCAR exported about 4.2 million tons6 of oil to foreign markets during the reporting period, reflecting a modest increase from the same quarter last year. This figure includes oil directly extracted by SOCAR, along with profit oil shares belonging to the Azerbaijani state and SOCAR from international consortiums operating in the country. Total natural gas exports from Azerbaijan reached 6.2 billion cubic meters7, while domestic consumption climbed 6%, totaling 2.4 billion cubic meters.
SOCAR’s processing operations in the second quarter included over 1.5 million tons8 of oil and more than 766 million cubic meters9 of gas. The Company exported nearly 570,000 tons10 of oil, petrochemical, and gas-chemical products produced at its Azerbaijani facilities.
