On July 1, 2024, the President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), Rovshan Najaf, held a meeting with the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Bulgaria, Vladimir Malinov.
Throughout the meeting, parties highlighted the successful development of energy sector relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria, noting the significant role of the Southern Gas Corridor in enhancing the energy security of Europe, including Bulgaria. They emphasized the importance of SOCAR's office in Bulgaria for further developing bilateral energy sector relations, alongside expressing satisfaction about SOCAR's recent commencement of natural gas supplies to Bulgarian industrial enterprises.
During the discussions, parties exchanged views on the current state of energy cooperation, gas exports from Azerbaijan to Bulgaria, and other issues of mutual interest.
