On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the glorious Victory in the Patriotic War, SOCAR organized the project “A Day with the Heroes of the Patriotic War”.
As part of the project, SOCAR brought together the family members of employees who were martyred in the Patriotic War, war veterans, and members of the SOCAR Volunteers group.
The event began with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a moment of silence to honor the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country’s territorial integrity.
The meeting gathered SOCAR employees who took part in the Patriotic War, Rovshan Hasanzade, Ravil Salmanov, Parviz Guliyev, Khilqat Musayev, and Khayal Javadov along with Nemat Jabbarov, the brother of SOCAR’s martyred employee Shahgunduz Jabbarov, and 44 SOCAR volunteers symbolizing the 44-day war.
During the meeting, the heroes shared their life stories and battlefield memories, speaking about the glorious pages of Victory achieved under the resolute leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. They reflected on the nation’s historic achievements in establishing peace and the state’s continuous care for the families of martyrs and war veterans. The heroes also answered the volunteers’ questions.
As part of the project, SOCAR presented the music video “The Road to Victory”, produced on the company’s initiative.
The event ended with a tree-planting campaign.
