SOCAR and the State Agency for Support to Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan jointly organized a visit to the Carbamide Plant for representatives of civil society.
The event began in the plant’s assembly hall with the playing of the State Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a one-minute silence honoring the brave sons of the homeland who sacrificed their lives for the country’s territorial integrity.
Kutay Durna, Director of the Carbamide Plant; Aygun Aliyeva, Executive Director of the State Agency for Support to Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan; and Asad Mammadov, Head of SOCAR’s Social Responsibility Department, delivered speeches. They emphasized that the Carbamide Plant, whose foundation was laid in 2011 by President Ilham Aliyev and inaugurated in 2019 with his participation, stands as one of the leading and most successful projects in Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector. The speakers provided detailed information about the plant’s operations, production processes, and environmental safety standards. The speakers also highlighted the strong cooperation between SOCAR and the State Agency for Support to Non-Governmental Organizations, noting that such visits and meetings play a key role in informing civil society representatives about SOCAR’s activities.
Shokhrat Mirzayev, Production Director of the Carbamide Plant, presented a report on the plant’s operations and achievements.
Following the presentations, the civil society representatives toured the plant to see its facilities and processes firsthand.
The event also included a tree-planting activity on the plant premises, in which the NGO representatives actively participated.
