Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) hosted the official opening ceremony of the Digital Knowledge Lyceum. SOCAR’s Vice Presidents, representatives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the management of BHOS, as well as parents, students, and pupils, attended the event.
In her opening remarks, SOCAR Vice President Ziba Mustafayeva emphasized SOCAR’s strong commitment to social projects, especially those focused on the advancement of education and science and reaffirmed the company’s active support for initiatives in these areas. She noted that both Baku Higher Oil School and the Digital Knowledge Lyceum represent key SOCAR projects.
Ziba Mustafayeva highlighted the Lyceum’s remarkable achievements within a short period and stated that students will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. She encouraged them to take full advantage of these opportunities and remain active in their academic and social pursuits.
Elmar Gasimov, Rector of Baku Higher Oil School, stated that the Digital Knowledge Lyceum plays a crucial role in developing the country’s human capital. He pointed out that, in addition to digital competencies, the Lyceum also focuses on strengthening students’ social skills and expressed confidence that it will soon distinguish itself among secondary education institutions.
Fuad Garayev, Deputy Director of the Institute of Education, wished the Lyceum success and expressed confidence in its potential to achieve outstanding results.
At the end of the ceremony, students presented a literary and artistic performance dedicated to the fifth anniversary of November 8 – Victory Day.
