Industrial internship programme

Attracting highly skilled professionals is one of the important elements in ensuring the long-term effectiveness of Company activities. According to the current operating reserve and workforce demand forecasts for the next 10 years, we have a direct interest in enhancing the personnel development in the Petroleum Engineering, Construction Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Geology and Geophysics, Energy, Health & Safety, Process Automation, Electrical and Electronic Engineering specialties. We aim to expand support for the development of personnel training in these specialties in higher education institutions across the country. SOCAR has extensive opportunities to engage students in production and manufacturing processes as part of their curriculum, get acquainted with the real work environment, apply their theoretical knowledge, and enhance their expertise in various fields of the petroleum industry, familiarization with new technologies, work methods and other issues in accordance with the professional profile and characteristics.

We organize the internship program every year for students studying in pre-determined priority specialties. Applications are accepted for this program both individually and by educational institutions. Individually, it is possible to apply to the Program throughout the year. The duration of the internship is 2 (two) months, however, it is possible to arrange the internship for a shorter period of time upon request. Written application should be submitted by students via email, letter or the contact section of the company's corporate website. The following documents are required to be attached to the application for consideration:

• Official transcript (an official signed and stamped document that reflects the academic records of student, provided by an educational institution);
• Curriculum Vitae;
• A copy of a valid government-issued photo identification card.

Certificate: provided upon successful completion of the internship, upon request.
