This invitation for prequalification follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development Business No. WB2661-731/08   of   3 July 2008 on-line.

The Government of Azerbaijan has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of the Large Scale Oil Polluted Land Clean up Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract for the Procurement of  6 semi-mobile and 1 stationary soil washing plants:

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic intends to prequalify contractors and/or firms for procurement of supply and installation of goods as per the above contract. It is expected that invitations for bid will be made in October 2008.

Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, May 2004, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries, as defined in the guidelines.

Interested eligible applicants may obtain further information from and inspect the prequalification document at the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (address below) from 9:00 am through 17:00 pm from Monday through Friday. A complete set of the prequalification document in English may be purchased by interested applicants (a) on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of AZN 200 (two hundred Manats) or in USD 250 (two hundred and fifty US dollars). The method of payment will be cashier’s check or direct deposit to the account specified below. The document will be sent by courier.

Applications for prequalification should be submitted in sealed envelopes, delivered to the address below by 18:00 pm September 02, 2008 and be clearly marked “Application to Prequalify for Procurement of 6 semi-mobile and 1 stationary soil washing plants”
